Improving Fertility: Tips to Conceive Naturally

Many women want to become pregnant, but you may be having trouble with natural conception. Conceiving isn’t always easy, but that doesn’t mean you have to turn to more expensive or difficult options in order to have a child. You can take specific steps to improve your fertility naturally. Follow this advice when you and a partner are trying to conceive.

Achieve a Healthy Weight

Being both over and underweight is going to decrease your chances of becoming pregnant. When your underweight, your body may not ovulate normally and the same is true for being overweight. If you notice that your periods are irregular, then your body is probably not following normal monthly patterns. If you are underweight, you should try to achieve a healthy BMI range. If you are overweight, try to lose weight until your periods have normalized and you’ll have an increased chance of conceiving.

Watch Caffeine Intake

Most people can’t seem to get going without their morning boost of caffeine and a little is fine. However, if you drink two or more caffeinated beverages per day, then you may be hurting your chances of conception. Increased caffeine intake has been associated with decreased fertility so keep track of how much you drink. Lowering your daily caffeine intake to two or fewer per day may be beneficial and is also a good idea when you are able to conceive.

Avoid Pesticides

Many of the pesticides used can have a negative effect on your fertility, especially agricultural pesticides. You may not realize how much you’re exposed to these pest killers, but it’s well worth the effort to avoid them. To improve your chances of fertility, make sure that you’e using natural household cleaning products and avoid being in high-agricultural areas. This is a great way to decrease your chances of getting these potentially harmful compounds into your body. And, it’s also a good idea to avoid them when you become pregnant for the health of the baby.

Have Intercourse Regularly

Most couples who want to conceive have a greater chance if they have intercourse on a regular basis, or a few times a week. Although you can keep track of your cycle to determine when you are ovulating, your body may not always follow the normal patterns. Many times, women miss their optimal window and then have to wait until the next month. However, you can increase your chances of becoming pregnant by having sex regularly. This is probably the best way to improve your chances, so make sure that you and your partner are intimate on a regular basis.

These are some of the best tips to conceive naturally. Most couples are able to use this advice to conceive within a year. If you are following this advice and not able to conceive, you may want to see a specialist and try other fertility treatment options such as IVF or home insemination. In some cases, there may be another reason why you’re not able to have a child, but this advice is highly recommended and will significantly increase your chances of natural conception.
